Melanie's Stealie Longies

My in laws are in town for the weekend on their annual Fall trek from Michigan to Florida for the winter. Yesterday they took Henry to the state fair all day giving me a few much needed solitary work hours. He had a blast looking at the animals and rising the bumper boats, roller coasters and teacups. And I was able to finish Melanie's Steal Your Face longies. Yay! This pair of longies will mark the Crankypants invasion of Hawaii. Very exciting stuff.

And (one of my favorite things), Tanya sent me an action shot of her wee beastie in his custom monsters> Does it get cuter?

In more exciting news. I have decided to quit my job. Tomorrow. I am too miserable going to work every day. And I am too stressed out every day when I get home. I have been feeling like my school kids get the bulk of my patience and teaching skills and I have very little left over for Henry when he gets home. The past few weeks I have had that "something has to give" feeling. So this is what's going to give. I am going to throw myself completely into Crankypants and my family and hope for the best. If things get too tight I am confident that I will be able to find a position fairly quickly.

Wish me luck!!!

(whoops, spelling error there before.)
Congratulations Amy! Be encouraged, you guys will find a way to make it work. :) There's sacrafices, but "ya do what ya gotta do!" There will be no end of CP customers for ya, though. Me being one who wants to get back in line! Oh, and that Grateful Dead booty is awesome! Nice work.

Congratulations on deciding not to return to work. I left teaching last June to be home with my lovebugs...I'm the happiest mommy I know. Broke...but thrilled about it! lol ;)

You never cease to amaze me how quickly yo manage to knit these, working full time and with a young son to boot! You're amazing. And believe me, I know how hard it is trying to raise a family while working full time (and studying in my case), let alone having a spin off business as well! I wish you all the luck in the world, and hope you start feeling a lot better about things as you throw yourself into crankypants.

That pic of the little bub is just gorgeous. I love the colours you choose - you really have an eye for it.

Good Luck Amy! Crankpants is already a success, I can only imagine what you'll be able to do with some more time on your hands. Of course, Henry will be happy to gobble up that time as well...lucky boy.
