A Whole Day!

Our friends Bill and Kelly and their three boys just swung by and picked up Henry and Kyle for a day out on the lake in their boat. This means I have the whole house all to myself for a whole day. Along with a whole bunch of work, I am going to take a ride down to the Penland auction house to see what kind of things are going to be in tonight's auction. This house is pretty well furnished at this point (minus a dresser for Kyle in the bedroom) but it needs some quirky little what nots here and there. A good country auction is just the place to find accents for this strange old house.

Meg's custom monsters went into the mail yesterday and I really love how they came out.

I also managed to finally upload a couple of pictures of last weekend. We went to Henry's friend Hana's birthday party and her mom made the most amazing unicorn cake.

We also discovered a bird nest in the fern hanging on our front porch. We knew something was going on in there so we took a peek and sure enough there are 4 little baby birdies in there. I unhooked it and took it down so Henry could catch a glimpse and snapped a super quick picture (it's a bit blurry because I was trying to be as unobtrusive and speedy as possible) of the little darlings.

Alright! Off to take advantage of this empty house!

Love the green's in the Cranky's - that was a nice color choice. The cake is gorgeous! To have that kind of talent - wow, lucky girl! We also have a little nest that I blogged about yesterday, it must be the season :) Take care Amy!
