Do You Want Some Cheese With That Whine?

The 90000% humidity added to the stress of customs day added to the drama thread over at a diapering board today has me kind of down and icky feeling. Thanks to all the mamas who showed their (overwhelming) love and support over there. I try not to indulge my defensive and overly sensitive side, but a few of those posts stung a bit. It just came at a time where I feel like I have completely overextended myself to make other people happy so it was a bit of a one-two blow. Woe is me. ;)

To lift the spirits I dipped into my customer picture file and pulled out a few to show off. If, by some mistake in communication, I post a picture of a child that a parent didn't want posted, please let me know and it will be immediately removed. I try to be vigilant about that but am always afraid of someone slipping through...

I double dog dare you not to crack a smile.

Yeah. I thought so.

Don't let the nay sayers get you down! You know that you do awesome work. I guess that some people forget that if they have nothing nice to say, to say nothing. I love our shorties and will go for a pair of longies in a couple of months.

Don't let the ol' biddies get to you. They're just jealous they couldn't snag a custom or jealous they don't have the talent to knit themselves. We can't wait for our new longies!

I have never, ever in my three years of avid CDing been tempted by wool until I saw your designs. I would dress my kids in any of them, pee needs or not. Count me in as one of the jealous ones, though not bitter :)

You do awesome work mama! Don't let anyone get you down!!!

I can't believe what some people said but I don't know how anyone couldn't LOVE your work...I think they are just jealous too. I wish I was lucky enough to have scored a pair!! If I had lots of money I'd pay LOTS of money for a pair, I think your talent is amazing!

Oh those pictures are too cute!! I'm sorry you even had to see that thread!! FWIW, I can't wait for DD to get to wear her funky monkey longies!!! I'll admit I've even pulled them out once or twice just to giggle at their little ears. I'll be sure and send a picture. Thinking of you!

Like the last mama said, you are fabulous. I read that silly nonsense message board thread. I was tempted to jump in, but instead I just closed the window and shook my head. I personally find many of the embroidered diapers that other mamas go crazy for very tacky, generic, and uninspiring. Of course I would never post these feelings there, as it is in my experience very bad manners. Your product has something that 99% of the market does not - good design (if these were throw pillows and not wool pants, they'd have Design Sponge written all over them) and creativity. Please don't let it hurt your feelings when those who don't recognize this feel the need to prattle on about it. I'm sure the 89 other mamas who sent you emails the other night agree with me. You're totally fabulous indeed.

In the famous words of my one of my favorite funny men Aurthur Spooner, "Don't let the bastards get you down."

As the maker of some tacky, generic, and uninspiring embroidered diapers that are the subject of threads like the one you are referring to quite often (wah) I totally know how you feel. It's hard to keep a thick skin and not let it get you down.
I think your pants are adorable and it's awesome that the auctions are successful.
My husband also doesn't understand why I don't run auctions all the time. LOL, he just doesn't get it.

I said many of the embroidered diapers, not all. Some are lovely. I'm sorry I said what I did, it was actually very unlike me. I was in a snarky mood before I even got online.

OH! I just "got it". I want to be clear - I was not referring to your diapers Christy. I'm done hijacking now and apologize for the nonsense.

LOL, thank you Erin! It's okay if you *were*, you didn't have to explain. I meant that I also read stuff like that about my diapers from time to time - just like Amy saw on "her" thread - so I can sympathize with how she feels. It does sting a little, but you know, to each his/her own. I know not everybody is going to love the things I make - my husband hates my diapers. Can you imagine? ;) Ha ha!
