Helene's Monster Shorties

Well, Helene was the first one to get me her measurements, so she got bumpity bumped up to the top of the list. I can't hold myself to the turnaround times I have promised you guys if you won't email me your measurements. I think I have emailed and asked everyone at least twice, so get 'em in, mamas.

Helene's husband designed the monster on the bum of these shorts and sent it to me for replication. The little pinty head was a little more difficult than I thought it would be, but I think they turned out super cute.

I will be restocking the Hyena Cart in the enxt week or so with some new things. The punkin' butt longies and the Jolly Roger to get ready for Halloween and some other cool bits and pieces. I also just got a limited license to make the awesome pumpin hat from Little Turtle Knits, so those will be avaiable soon, too. I am pretty excited to whip some of those little guys out this week. For little ones who aren't quite ready for the full Halloween costume to do but will be accompanying older kids on the trick or treat path, the little punkin' hat would be the perfect thing.

I hope everyone is well,
amy.

Andrea's Monster Booty Longies

Wow, is it grey and icky here! The downside is that Henry is going to be a raving lunatic after being kept inside all day at school. The upside is that I have no desire to venture outside, so I have been a furious knitting machine. My customs list is shrinking so it might be time to stock the Hyena Cart again.

Anyway, here are some pictures of Andrea's monster booty longies out on my soggy front stoop.

I also finally managed to get some pictures of the armwarmers I will be putting up at my next stocking. They are made from Malabrigo, a super duper soft merino wool hand spun and dyed by a women's cooperative in Uruguay.

AND...a customer (whose permission I have to use these) sent me pictures of her gorgeous baby girl in a pilot cap made out of the same yarn. So. Cute.

Adrienne's Monster Booty Shorties!

Here's a picture with bad indoor lighting. Sorry about that, but I couldn't get a picture until after the sun was already down.

Andrea is next up on the list and I have just finished the waistband on her monster longies. Sorry this is such a lame update, but I am turing in early tonight. It has been a long weekend and my in laws are coming into town tomorrow. I hope everyone is well.

Lene's Zuni Bear longies!

Yesterday morning we drove up into the clouds in the mountains and went berry picking. The cool weather was perfect for a hike and Henry ate half his weight in berries. It was great.

I know, I know, enough of the kid, get to the wool!

Here you go Lene:

Sorry about the awful lighting, but it is rainy and gross outside, so natural light was out. I can send them in the morning and then the shirt will follow whenever I get it in.

Adrienne, get me those measurements, mama!

And we are looking like this:
Adrienne W.-waiting for measurements
Andrea
Christina
Stephannie
Helene

I also finished my first little pair of toddler armwarmers/fingerless gloves for the season, but Henry refuses to model them for me so I have to wait until I see Ms. Adella-a willing model. They are made from an amazing Malabrigo colorway of blue, green and yellow. I'll post pictures as soon as I can get some.

Later gators,
amy.
